FLV Decompressed...

Wherever we open a page that contains either an embedded video or a link to video page, we can find a simple user interface that waits for our command to play the video. When the play button was hit, the video starts playing just like that.
The important feature behind this thing that supports fast streaming of video data is the file format "FLV". Usually a good quality video song in AVI format will be around 60 mb, consider if it is being used for streaming videos, then we should wait for 20 minutes to view a 6 minute video.
FLV actually stands for Flash video file, it supports almost all kind of video and audio codec. Most importantly it reduces the size drastically say one third of avi file size. Such file extension databases really seems helpful during times of need with around 1000 file types definitions and support.
