GSM Tracking Scams

Most of us would be interested in tracking their own or sometimes others cell phone through a site which accepts a cell number and displays the exact location of the number in a map.
The first thing we will be doing is trying out different keywords in google search like gsm mobile tracking, gprs tracking, gps tracking, gsm cell phone tracking.
These are not the only four phrases used but these are those mostly used.
There are sites that will be displayed in the first three results which will be exact phrases as shown above. If you try to believe those sites and enter a number.A stupid message meaning "We haven't developed to that level in science" will be displayed along with an blurred image of some adult scene.
The thing here is at the bottom they also give an idea to fool others by passing the link to friends and others. I don't like to link to those sites as it is worthless even for a single visit.

Free GPS cell phone tracking application, BuddyWay.

Though there is no developed open source application that deals with tracking of cellphones and other gps enabled devices through internet. Buddyway is one of those application which provides some of the basic features involved in gps tracking like tracking one's own cell phone for route tracking and location identification in a map.
It is not a great issue that in the mere future there will be one such software application.But for now buddyway could be a possible alternative.

Spying Echelon

When it comes to spying its origin commonly takes place at the military and security organizations. From there its products spread to others by either smuggled or any other illegal means. To start with Echelon is a spying network and it alarms people in all fields like industrial, military, or individual. It can intercept (capture) up to 3 billion communications everyday. Also it can spy on calls, faxes, e-mails, downloads and communication through microwave, cellular, and satellite.
As stated earlier this system was used by the Intelligence agencies in US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Originally developed for military surveillance, it is now believed to be used for spying on organizations, businesses and even individuals. It operates via ground-based radio antennae and satellites to spy on satellite transmissions. It is also capable of live tapping of cables. The internet communication is also intercepted using ‘sniffer’ devices. Powerful computers called Dictionary are used to extract useful data from the information obtained by tapping or intercepting.
