Google video chat.Is it working?

I have no idea about this new setup download provided by google. It says I can chat with friends using both audio and video. Though I have downloaded it, I have no cam to test this thing so I haven't tried installing it.
As far now I can say that Google grows like anything, to say a their strategy, they don't seem to enhance their UI (as an example), rather they focus on new things that were out of their scope.
I also find suddenly, that each search result asks my opinion about the page,when i tried a google search while logged in through my google account. I actually have no idea about when this feature was added yet it is an another good move because in my little usage experience, I found that it is not always the first search result that satisfies our need and provides the necessary information.
